| 7-Eleven customers will soon be able to zip into outlets
of Singapore's largest chain of convenience stores for a quick haircut,
thanks to a tie-up with Speed, a new no-frills, premier lifestyle
hair salon that offers professional 10-minute trims at an affordable
$10. The partnership underlines 7-Eleven's emphasis on providing more
and better services and greater convenience to its customers. |
| |
| The first Speed outlet located within a 7-Eleven store
opened its doors to customers at the Boon Lay Shopping Centre - Blk
221, Boon Lay Place. Since its opening, this additional new service
offered by 7-Eleven has been a hit with young children, students and
busy working adults. |
| |
| As this new service has been well-received by customers
and with the Chinese New Year round the corner, 24-hour hair cut service
will be available from Tuesday, 13 January 2004 onwards. Customers
will find the bright yellow and parquet-flooring interior very cosy.
An automated ticket-vending machine makes queuing and payment hassle-free
through the use of a queue card. Customers are served by experienced
stylists in a clean environment where loose hair is immediately removed
with a unique air-wash system. |
| |
| Currently, apart from offering a wide range of fast-moving
consumer goods, 7-Eleven also offers a wide range of services including
Cashcards and Autopass top-up services, payment of M1, Starhub and
SunPage bills, UPS courier service, Budget Print - a photo developing
service, and more. |
| |
| "We are constantly looking for new business partners
to provide more quality products and efficient services for our busy
customers. With Speed providing quick, quality hair grooming services
targeting at the same customer base, our partnership with Speed is
natural," commented Mr Benjamin Eng, General Manager, 7-Eleven Singapore,
on the tie-up between the two companies. |
| |
| Mr Michael Yeo, Managing Director, Speed Cuts International
Pte Ltd, believes that 7-Eleven and Speed make a comfortable match
as both aim to please customers who are in a hurry. "As society moves
faster, the demand for quality service is rising even faster. Speed
aims to satisfy time-strapped customers with quick, affordable, yet
professional haircuts," added Mr Yeo. |
| |
| Speed aims to open at least two more Speed salons
within 7-Eleven stores in 2004. |
| |
| To celebrate the coming Chinese New Year, customers
will receive a can of Fruit Tree juice and two Mandarin oranges with
every haircut. Children, who come for a haircut accompanied by an
adult customer, will receive a free haircut. This Chinese New Year
promotion is on till the eve of Chinese New Year (Wednesday, 21 January
2004). |
